Peachjar’s platform for digital flyer delivery has saved the Poway Unified School District
on average $1.5 million per year and more than 26 million pieces of paper in aggregate
San Diego, CA — May 10, 2018 — For over five years, the Poway Unified School District (PUSD) has utilized Peachjar, the nation’s leading digital flyer system for more than 12,000 K-12 schools in the US, to deliver important communications about school events and enriching after school programs for students directly to parents. Peachjar released data today around cost savings and the overall success since Peachjar’s digital flyer delivery program was implemented. PUSD has saved an average of 4.6MM pieces of paper each year, which totals more than $1.5MM in annualized paper and labor savings.
“Peachjar opened up a new line of communication with parents for our schools and the numerous community enrichment programs that are available for the kids of Poway Unified,” said Christine Paik, Director of Communications at Poway Unified. “Our relationship with Peachjar has not only had a positive environmental and fiscal impact, but it has also increased our ability to reach parents with timely and important information.”
The most recent example of how Poway leveraged the Peachjar platform came when the district recently hosted a ‘School Safety Community Forum’. This was a forum for parents and students to learn more about what PUSD is doing to address school and student safety. Attendees were invited to learn more and share ideas with District leadership and local law enforcement partners, and details were sent to parents via Peachjar’s digital flyer platform. When more than than 700 parents signed up to attend, Poway had to switch venues in order to fit all of the attendees.
“The ‘School Safety Community Forum’ is just one example of how powerful the Peachjar platform is for reaching parents on issues that are important to them, such as the enrichment and safety of their children,” said Mike Durham, CEO of Peachjar. “The Poway Unified School District exemplifies both the power of Peachjar’s reach among parents, but also the cost savings that can be seen by schools who use Peachjar.”
Peachjar is the nation’s leading digital flyer management tool used by more than 12,000 K-12 schools and 7 million parents.
